Pike County Goes Green Today

Posted on June 19th, 2020
Chamber supports businesses and organizations as they reopen to public

MILFORD, PA, -- June 19, 2020 -- Following months of stringent public health measures that led many businesses in Pike County to close their doors to the public, the Pike County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to mark this next phase in the reopening process today. Under Governor Wolf’s “Green Phase,” all businesses must follow CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines. This includes social distancing, universal masking and partial capacity for indoor dining.

“Resuming day to day operations to what is now known as the ‘new normal’ will not be an easy task, but we all stand together as Pike County moves into, and beyond, the green phase,” said Chamber President Cheryl Duquette. “The Pike County Chamber of Commerce is here to help.”

The Milford Community House, which also serves as Chamber headquarters and Milford Visitors Center, will reopen to the public on Saturday, June 27. Chamber office hours will be Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 201 Broad Street in Milford. The facility is in the process of implementing cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with all public health guidelines. Our employees will be available to help the business community as it navigates the coming weeks and months.

The Pike County Chamber of Commerce thanks the leadership of the Pike County Board of Commissioners as well as municipal, state and federal leaders during this crisis and commends everyone for working together to flatten the curve and return to business. To that end, the Chamber is proud to promote and adhere to the Pocono Promise, a voluntary set of guidelines for businesses and organizations throughout the Pocono Mountains.
