KITTATINNY CANOES’ ANNUAL RIVER CLEAN UP - FOLLOW UP

Our 27th Annual Delaware River Cleanup was another huge success!

Kittatinny Canoes completed its two day Annual River Cleanup, with the help of 204 volunteers, and the generous donations of countless vendors. Alongside the National Park Service, celebrating their 100th year, combined efforts covered 62 miles of river and shoreline from Barryville, New York to the Delaware Water Gap in New Jersey. Volunteers recovered 86 tires, 55 pounds of aluminum cans and 3.33 tons of trash. These amounts are lower than previous years’ figures, and we owe the increasing cleanliness of the river to our dedicated volunteers and those who continue to support the environmental endeavors of our mission to “leave no trace.”
