4-H Leaders Needed!

The Pike County 4-H youth development program is looking to the community to help expand. 4-H is a youth organization that enables kids to have fun, meet new people, build self-confidence and learn by doing cool things. 4-H serves boys and girls and is the largest youth-serving program in the world.

4-H relies on adults to guide 4-H members age 5-19, as they work on projects and participate in activities. A genuine interest in youth is the only requirement to become a 4-H leader. Leaders are supported by Penn State Extension with training, guidance and curriculum.

More than 150 projects are available to choose from, including crafts, gardening, sewing, pet care, rocketry, insects, fishing, wildlife, backyard poultry, cooking, babysitting and much more!

Clubs are required to meet 6 times per year, but clubs may meet more often. A club consists of at least 5 children and the place and time of meetings is at the discretion of the leader.
