Boy Scouts assist United Way of Pike County with move to new office location Annual United Way of Pike County Raffle
While things have been very busy here at the United Way of Pike County, we were able to reach out to our local Boy Scouts and have their assistance on our move to our new location. On a very warm Friday, August 17th 2015 Boy Scouts from Troop 174, Pack 1003 and Pack 77 volunteered their time to help the United Way of Pike County move there office from the old Milford School House to the Pike County Chamber of Commerce building located at 209 East Harford Street in Milford. These boys and some of their parents worked very hard packing boxes, moving furniture, carrying boxes to vehicles, vacuuming & dusting the old office and assisted in unloading the vehicles at the new office location.
As many of you know it’s that time of the year again for our annual raffle. This raffle is always one of our most successful raffles that we have throughout the year which allows us to give back to the non-profit organizations in our community. The raffle will take place at the United Way of Pike County’s annual Chef’s United Dinner which will be held on October 21, 2015. Winners don’t have to be present to win.
