Family Fishing
Saturday, September 6 – 10:00am-12:00pm
$10 child / $5 adult
Learn the basics of fishing and then try your luck on our ponds. We provide the equipment. No fishing licenses required. Spaces limited. Call to reserve your spot.

Ecozone Discovery Room!
Saturday, September 6 – 1:00-4:00pm
$2 per person
Climb into a bald eagle’s nest, crawl into a bat cave, and dig in a fossil pit! Explore this indoor discovery room and enjoy hands-on exhibits on natural history, sustainability and the local environment. No registration required.

Introduction to Canoeing
Sunday, September 7 – 10:00am-12:00pm
$5
Enjoy one of the last days of summer with a canoe paddle across our pond! Beginners are welcome – we teach you everything you need to know. Dress appropriately – you may get wet. Call to reserve your spot in a canoe.

Sunday for Singles
Sunday, September 7 – 1:00-3:00pm
Free
Enjoy a guided hike on a PEEC trail. This program is all about exploring nature and meeting new people.

Volunteer Day – Pike County Day of Caring
Saturday, September 13 – 9:00am-4:00pm
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” - Gandhi
This is the perfect day to become involved with our volunteer program. All ages are welcome. Snacks will be provided.

Fungus Among Us
Sunday, September 14 – 10:00am-12:00pm
$5
Search for fungus and lichen as you learn about the amazing world of decomposition and nutrient cycling.

Adult Nature Weekend
September 19-21
$195 / $145 commuter
Take a weekend off and relax in the Poconos! Enjoy interpretive hikes, canoeing, bird walks, art classes, waterfall tours, animal presenters, campfires, and more! Ages 21 and up, please. Includes two nights of lodging and six meals.

PRO SERIES: Fall Warblers, with Dr. Terry Master
Saturday, September 20 – 8:00am-12:00pm
$20 ($70 for 4 Pro Series Sessions)
Learn from the experts. Join Dr. Terry Master, Biology Professor at ESU, for an in-depth look at the migrating fall warbler species. Spaces are limited.

Bird Photography 101
Saturday, September 20 – 2:00-4:00pm
$15
Learn how to take great pictures of birds! Join Bob Shank, wildlife photographer, for an in depth look at attracting and photographing birds. Learn how to use a blind, create perches, and choose the right camera gear. Call for details.

Wild Things Ball
Saturday, September 20 – 6:00-10:00pm
$125 per person
Join us for PEEC’s annual fundraiser. This event will be held at the Hotel Fauchere in Milford, PA. Enjoy a live auction and music and dancing with the Robbi Kumalo Ensemble.

Park History Tour
Sunday, September 21 – 9:00am-3:00pm
$10 members / $15 non-members
Explore the Park to find the many scenic and historic sites within our beloved recreation area. Bring a water bottle, lunch, and a camera for great photo opportunities. Call to reserve a seat in the van. Carpooling encouraged.

Wilderness Skills Hike
Sunday, September 28 – 2:00-4:00pm

Join Mike Dennis of Traditional Earth Skills for a fun afternoon in the fields and forests. Build a shelter, try your hand at fire making, and learn other useful skills for survival. All ages welcome.
