Wine Enthusiast Magazine Names The Delmonico Room at the Hotel Fauchère as one of America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants of 2013
Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s annual August Restaurant Issue, dedicated to presenting America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants of the past year, has included The Delmonico Room at the Hotel Fauchère in the prestigious list.
The magazine cited the Delmonico Room’s wide offering of wines by the glass (more than 20) as well as how the restaurant showcases Pennsylvania wines, including that a Pennsylvania wine comprises the base of The Delmonico Room’s housemade vermouth. Only one other restaurant in Pennsylvania, Talula’s Garden in Philadelphia, was included on the list.
“This recognition is a tribute to the hard work of our entire team and the service standards they maintain,” said Master Sommelier Christopher Bates, the Hotel Fauchère’s executive chef and co-general manager. “We are proud to be included and look forward to continuing to improve our wine program.”
“We’re very excited to announce America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants in our third annual August Restaurant Issue,” says Editor & Publisher of Wine Enthusiast, Adam Strum. “This issue emphasizes our commitment to the closely knit culture of wine and food. These incredible institutions offer innovative menus, inventive wine programs and a true passion for presenting mind-blowing wine and food experiences for adventurous diners.”
Wine Enthusiast’s team of editors defines notable and of-the-moment wine and food programs nationwide, from impressively deep cellars to quirky, laser-focused wine lists and eclectic small plates or multicourse “surprise” menus.
In addition to The Delmonico Room at the Hotel Fauchère, this year’s list of 100 includes twenty-nine other new winners, along with exclusive chef’s recipes, ingenious wine-pairing ideas for the home chef, editorial on important food trends in 2013 and an enticing selection of restaurant dishes diners will not want to miss.
