Forest Stewardship Field Day:Tree Identification Workshop

Forest Stewardship Field Day:
Tree Identification Workshop

Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy for a Tree Identification Workshop on Saturday, September 7th, from 10am-12pm at the Conservancy’s office in Bethel, NY.

Join Amanda Subjin, the Conservancy’s Stewardship & Education Coordinator, for a walk on woodland trails on the 119-acre protected property. Attendees will learn how to identify common trees and forest plants in the Upper Delaware River region and about the Conservancy’s plans for expanding outdoor education opportunities on the property. Melinda Meddaugh, Land Protection Coordinator for the Conservancy, will be available to answer questions about the property’s conservation easement that protects this piece of farm and woodland from development and subdivision.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Please call the Delaware Highlands Conservancy at 570-226-3164 or email to register and receive directions. Visit for more information on other upcoming events.

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy works with landowners and communities to protect the healthy lands, clean waters, eagles and other wildlife, and locally sustainable economies of the Upper Delaware River region.
