Small Business Institute Scholarship Available


Small Business Institute scholarships are awarded to Food, Beverage or Hospitality based businesses who seek a hands-on, learning program designed to help entrepreneurs sharpen the skills needed to develop, manage, and grow a successful business. Participants incorporate their own business experiences while developing the building blocks for success. SBI helps entrepreneurs understand how all of the pieces of a business work together including organizational planning to marketing and understanding your financials. Small Business Institute- September 20th and 27th
Small Business Institute will help you see how all the pieces of your business work together.

Presented by MetroAction and the University of Scranton Small Business Development Center, the Small Business Institute provides novice and experienced business owners, as well as business managers with a plan to enhance business success, create a strong marketing plan, develop a better understanding of basic financial information and the opportunity to network with other business owners. All participants will learn best practices and tips to ensure long term success.

This program will be presented on Thursdays, September 20 and 27 at the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, 222 Mulberry Street, Scranton, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and is also available at the same time as a webinar. Blog Your Way to Small Business Success-October 10th
Attend Blog Your Way to Small Business Success seminar, as Jenna Urban, creator of Bucktown Bargains, walks you through the essential steps of establishing and managing a successful Blogging presence. You will get practical how-to information on creating a blog, tips for effective blog writing and best practices on how to draw visitors to your site. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and leave with action items that will help you create an engaging blog presence for your organization that will lead to additional income and visibility for your small business.

This seminar is for people who are beginning to explore blogging and have questions on how to get started and how it can benefit your business.
