The ARTery Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibit of the work of two members.

The ARTery Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibit of the work of two members, Marie Liu and Randall FitzGerald. A reception will be held during Art After Dark on Saturday October 13 from 6 - 9 pm with the exhibit running through Nov. 5.

Marie Liu, who moved to Pike County three years ago wasted no time in adopting the area as her own. Her enthusiasm for the regions abundant state and national parkland, waterfalls, lakes, creeks and woods had immediately become the inspiration for her paintings. Her most recent series of oil paintings also includes local persons of historic importance who contributed to the regions character, within her landscape paintings. Gifford Pinchot, Rosamond Pinchot, Marie Zimmermann and Thundercloud have been the subjects of her recent paintings that will be featured in this upcoming exhibit.

Randall FitzGerald is a biologist, behavioral ecologist and artist who studies life on the planet from both a scientific and aesthetic viewpoint. His love of the natural environment has permeated both his professional and artistic life, and consequently most of the fine art he produces reflects the intimacy he enjoys with the natural world. Although his artistic roots are firmly planted in photography, he has explored many different artistic techniques over the years using that media and others, including watercolors, oils and encaustics. Breaking all the rules of traditional photography and incorporating other types of media, Randall produces one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork that please the eye and move the soul.
