All community members are warmly invited to attend for a true red carpet experience.
Guests will delight in gourmet meals prepared by The Fork at Twin Lakes, The River Rock Inn, and the Waterwheel Café, as well as mouth-watering desserts prepared by none other than Michael Jon Hill of An American Buffet Custom Catering. Alongside the outstanding dining, there will be a warm and inviting atmosphere created by the stunning decorations designed by Doug Cosh of The Phoenix. There’s no better way to celebrate the 13th annual Black Bear Film Festival, occurring this October 12-14, than by joining friends at St. Patrick’s event hall for this truly glitzy Hollywood gala.

The Black Bear Film Festival began in Milford, PA, in 2000 when a small group of creative locals set out to produce an event that would support and promote innovate and independent films. The Black Bear Film Festival celebrates Milford’s rich film-making heritage and the conservation movement in tribute to Gifford Pinchot, who fathered the American conservation movement. Zane Grey, D.W. Griffith, Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, and John Barrymore are just a few of the film legends who have lived in and visited Milford in the past. The Black Bear Film Festival has been a huge success, packing theaters and selling out tickets for over a decade thanks to its engaging movies, entertaining parties, a free film salon, and more.
Today, the Black Bear Film Festival has returned to its home in the newly-renovated Milford Theatre, and continues to support independent films, artistic expression, education, diversity, and cultural enhancement, particularly promoting the region’s clean air and water, abundant wildlife, natural beauty and the entities that protect them. The Black Bear Film Festival is Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Premier Independent Film event, and will be hosted at the Milford Theatre, in Milford, PA.
