The Dime Bank Appoints New Community Reinvestment Act Officer

Paula A. Ralston Nenish, MBA, CIA, CRMA, vice president and compliance officer at The Dime Bank, was recently appointed community reinvestment act officer. Ms. Ralston Nenish, who joined The Dime Bank in May 2013, is responsible for the direction and oversight of the Bank’s compliance management system including developing the compliance plan which covers compliance administration, monitoring, training, board reporting, and complaint resolution. From a regulatory perspective, she monitors changes in industry regulations, performs research, communicates changes to personnel, and assists management in policy and procedure development to implement such changes. As community reinvestment act officer, she is responsible for ensuring proper adherence to the provisions of the Community Reinvestment Act so the goals of meeting the credit needs of the communities The Dime Bank serves, including low to moderate income neighborhoods, are met.

Gary C. Beilman, president and chief executive officer stated, "Paula is an extremely talented individual. In the currently complex and shifting regulatory environment of banking, she possesses an extensive knowledge base in financial policies and procedures. Paula has shown excellence in the field of compliance and is dedicated to the overall welfare of our area. The additional role of community reinvestment act officer seemed a natural fit, and is a nice complement to her current responsibilities."

Ms. Ralston Nenish has 19 years of financial services experience, most recently having served as director of internal audit for a local financial institution. In addition to her financial services career, she is an adjunct business faculty instructor at Marywood University, Scranton, PA where she teaches Auditing Principles & Procedures and Business Communications to undergraduate business students, and serves on the University’s Alumni Association Board and Business Advisory Board. Ms. Ralston Nenish is also a presenter at national audit conferences where she shares instruction, experiences, and case studies to educate her colleagues and serves on the Board of Governors for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Ms. Ralston Nenish earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Marywood University. In 2013 she was named one of the 'Top 25 Women in Business in Northeastern Pennsylvania' by the National Association of Women Business Owners and supports her community through several volunteer endeavors. She resides in Jessup with her husband David.
