Corporation and communities partnering for a better tomorrow
Kinder Morgan has been an active partner in several donations to organizations in Pike County. Just recently, Kinder Morgan donated $41,000 to assist with operations costs to keep the Delaware Water Gapís Milford Beach open for calendar year 2013. Along with the Milford Beach donation, Kinder Morgan has given $25,000 to the Delaware Valley School District to start a state-of-the-art wielding program. Additionally, Kinder Morgan partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to provide three thousand tree saplings to elementary students across 6 counties in 2 states, including the Delaware Valley School District.
Kinder Morganís donation of $41,000 to the Delaware Water Gap National Park will keep the Milford Beach open to the public as a place to enjoy the Delaware River. Also, the donation will provide Pike County businesses an access point to the Delaware River this summer.
The generous donation by Kinder Morganís of $25,000 to Delaware Valley School District is to start a state of the art wielding program. The wielding program will provide students with the training to be employed in the wielding field. The training will provide the student with knowledge and experience to perform a job for family sustaining wages.
Also, Kinder Morgan has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to donate approximately three thousand tree saplings to elementary schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The donations were distributed by Allen Fore, Director of Public Affairs for Kinder Morgan. The tree saplings had been distributed to schools in Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, Bradford, Susquehanna and Pike Counties, all part of Kinder Morganís Northeast Upgrade Project. This donation supplied thousands of students with a Ponderosa Pine tree on Arbor Day (April 25, 2013).
