The United Way of Pike County Announces New President

The United Way of Pike County announced that Patrick Kiesendahl will be the new UWPC President. Patrick is alumni of the Wallenpaupack Area High School District and a graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he earned degrees in Business Management and Theatre.

Patrick is the Social Director and a Co-Owner of the Woodloch Pines Resort in Hawley. As a creative artist, he often writes and performs in the elaborate Woodloch show productions. Patrick will bring the same management skills and imaginative energy to the United Way’s mission of enriching the lives of others in the community. “The Woodloch Family recognizes how important it is to give back to the community and I am excited to serve as President of the United Way of Pike County. In such difficult economic times and with so many of our community members experiencing hardship, I am pleased to be in a position to help”, said Patrick Kiesendahl.

Pictured with the entire Board of Directors, Patrick expressed his vision for the next year. “I am blessed to have a wonderful board around me as I take Presidency. Together, our goal is to increase the amount of funds we raise through growing our signature events, as well as hopefully creating a new signature event. This will not only allow us to give more to the community, but also will increase awareness of homelessness and hunger in the area. Many believe that homelessness and hunger is isolated to big cities, but we have many peers that need our help right here in Pike County.”

The Kiesendahl family and the Woodloch Pines Resort have been generous supporters of the United Way of Pike County for many years. Patrick possesses a youthful dynamic and creative energy that is very contagious. He has excellent leadership qualities and we are very excited to have him as our Board President”, stated Catherine Capasso, Executive Director of the United Way of Pike County.
