MilfordMD Cosmetic Dermatology Surgery & Laser Center, in
Milford, Penn., has added a new technology, the HydraFacial MD, to
make facial skin look and feel youthful and vibrant. “Skin health is a
big issue for most of our patients. They want to take special care of
their facial skin so it doesn’t lose its glow and youthful elasticity.
The noninvasive HydraFacial MD device allows us to deliver
supervised medical strength of塦ce-based treatments that not only
address 塦ne lines, wrinkles and sun damage, but also improve the
skin’s elasticity, 塦rmness, skin tone and texture,” says Dr. Richard
Buckley, a cosmetic surgeon and medical director of MilfordMD.
HydraFacial MD treatments can be done in as little as 30 minute
and are enjoyable. “This is a facial rejuvenating option that we can
offer to patients with all skin types—from light to dark,” Dr. Buckley
says. “And there’s no irritation or downtime, so people can go back
to their work lives, social lives and activities right after treatment.”
Dr. Buckley says that he recommends patients have monthly HydraFacial MD treatments to maintain healthy, vibrant skin. But
most, he says, will notice their facial skin looks better after one
treatment. HydraFacial MD treatment works by ridding the face of
dead skin cells and skin’s surface of other impurities, while
nourishing the skin’s clean, new surface with hydration,
antioxidants and more.
“This is not your ordinary facial,” Dr. Buckley says. “The HydraFacial
MD device uses a Vortex-Fusion serum delivery system, which
prepares the skin to receive replenishing super serums, including
antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid. The device’s patented
CTGF Vortex-Booster delivers high levels of naturally occurring
growth factors into the skin. It’s all the things the skin needs to stay
young looking, but loses with age and environmental toxin
exposure.”
Antioxidants help to protect the skin and boost cell function by
塦ghting free radicals. Peptides are amino acid links that improve
collagen and elastin production. Hyaluronic acid, which the body
naturally produces, gives skin its fullness and volume. It’s what
cosmetic surgeons, like Dr. Buckley, have used for years as a 姱쐭ller
to plump wrinkles and lines, as well as build facial volume. And
growth factors are the very proteins charged with regulating healthy cellular function for youth skin
structure and function.
“The HydraFacial MD is a great option by itself for patients who simply want to keep their skin
looking the best it can, regardless of age,” Dr. Buckley says. “We also use it to enhance results of
other treatments, chemical peels and laser treatments aimed at offering patients more dramatic
skin rejuvenation but with some recovery or downtime.” For example, patients can add Fotofacial,
which uses intense pulsed light, or IPL, to diminish sun damage, 塦ne lines, large pores and other
signs of skin aging.
Mild skin resurfacing with the HydraFacial MD is more than a quick 塦x, according to Dr. Buckley. It
works over time to keep skin healthy.
