Frisky Goat Coffeehouse Donates Proceeds from 5K Run to Pike County Public Library
Frisky Goat Coffeehouse in Milford, PA donated proceeds from a 5K Run to the Pike County Public Library. From January to March of this year, the Frisky Goat Coffeehouse sponsored four 5k run events, known as the 5K Winter Series. The events raised a total of $250.00. On April 11, 2016, the owner of the local Milford establishment donated the $250.00, along with a matching donation of $250.00, to the Pike County Public Library. The check for $500.00 was presented to the library on 4/11/16 at the Milford Branch to the library director, Rose Chiocci. “We are very thankful for everyone at the Frisky Goat, and all the people who ran the race,” said Chiocci. “We love all the community support for the library. The people at the Frisky Goat, and events like this, are very special to us.” Since it opened in October of 2014, the coffeehouse has sponsored numerous such events and has raised money for local charities such as the Ecumenical Food Pantry and the library. Future fund raising events are in the planning stages.
