Ehrhardt’s Expands in a beautiful new way!

Standing on the shoreline of Lake Wallenpaupack, Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Resort is a staple in the Hawley community. The original property was purchased by the Ehrhardt’s in 1943 and since that time the Ehrhardt’s have worked hard to continue their family legacy of excellence, quality and family hospitality. Every year the Ehrhardt’s reinvest in the resort, restaurant and banquet center with improvements and updates. Last year they overhauled their lake front banquet center with a classy timeless façade. This year the Ehrhardt’s have taken on an even bigger project by building two new vacation homes on the south side of their property.
“We knew it was going to be a big project but it felt like the right time and we’re thrilled at how they’ve turned out.” Said Owner Eric Ehrhardt. He should be thrilled, the new vacation homes include three floors each with a bedroom and private bath. A full kitchen, living room with flat screen, fireplace and covered porch are highlights of the first floor. Both homes have lovely views of the lake and with all the modern comforts are in high demand. The homes feature a selection of furniture from VanGorders Furniture and Teeter’s Furniture both in Hawley.

The project took over a year to complete, with the Ehrhardt’s stopping construction during the summer as to not disturb their guests. “That’s just how the Ehrhardt’s are with their guests.” Said Marketing Director Sarah O’Fee, “They (the Ehrhardt’s) always want to ensure a great experience and they are continuing that with these new vacation homes. It will make it easier for families to stay all together in one building, while being able to have enough space for privacy.” Construction of the homes was handled by Grimm Construction of Waymart.

O’Fee said the homes will be available year round for rental with weeklong stays in the summer and shorter stays available in the off season. For more information on the vacation homes or their other beautiful and unique accommodations please call 570-226-4388 or check out their website at
