Fall Internships Available at Grey Towers
MILFORD, PA – Applications currently are being accepted for internships at Grey Towers National Historic Site, Milford, PA, that will run from mid-August and September through the end of the year. College students and recent grads who are interested in gardening, horticulture and landscape architecture; museum and curatorial services; history, parks & recreation and natural resource conservation are encouraged to apply.
Through a partnership with the Student Conservation Association, these US Forest Service positions carry a subsistence allowance, and housing on the historic estate and uniforms may be provided. Start and end dates vary per internship assignment.

• Gardening/Horticulture: This position provides a valuable, practical experience for a motivated undergraduate college student or recent grad who wants a hands-on experience to challenge and broaden the student’s knowledge of practical applications of horticultural theory learned in the classroom. • Museum/Curatorial: Two positions are available from Sept. 19-Dec. 11. Students have an opportunity to gain hands on experience with caring for museum collections including registration, cataloguing, and conservation and archiving methods while working with the Grey Towers Museum Specialist in the historic mansion. • Visitor Services/Public Programs: One position for a student or recent grad who will gain practical experience in all facets of operating a visitor and conference center with a focus on history and natural resource conservation.
