MYER & MYER DONATE TO ECUMENICAL FOOD PANTRY
Local business owners Scott Myer and Greg Myer of Myer & Myer, CPA believe in giving local. They recently donated $1,000.00 to the United Way of Pike County specifically to go to the Ecumenical food pantry located in Milford. When asked, Scott Myer stated “My mother, Kitty Myer had been very passionate about supporting the Ecumenical food pantry where she volunteered her time. She believed that instead of sending Holiday Greeting Cards each year that we should donate those monies to make a difference. With that in mind, and with many of our residents are struggling to make ends meet. We wanted to help. In the spirit of the season, we hope that other businesses that can give, will give to our local charities. We wish everyone a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season.”
“We are in the midst of a severe economic crisis that is straining family budgets throughout Pennsylvania and across the country. The United Way is very grateful to Scott Myer and Greg Myer of Myer & Myer, CPA Firm for their donation. With their help, the Ecumenical Food Pantry in Milford will serve well over 300 families this holiday season. On behalf of The United Way of Pike County, I would like to encourage everyone to buy local and give local. Here in Pike County we have nearly 60,000 residents. Imagine if each person gave just $5.00, which would be $300,000.00 to support our friends and neighbors in need. Please stay local, buy local and give local!” said Reggie Worthington, Board Member, United Way of Pike County
