Come Get Wild at the Hawley Earth Fest!

Hawley, PA, January 15, 2016 – The Downtown Hawley Partnership in cooperation with the Pike/Wayne Conservation Partnership are pleased to announce that planning is underway for the third annual Hawley Earth Fest. The event will take place the weekend of April 22-24, 2016.

This weekend long celebration will be an opportunity for families and friends to celebrate the scenic beauty of our town and natural areas. The planning committee is working with local businesses, organizations and caring neighbors to put together exciting outdoor activities. Events kick off on Friday with a variety of music events at several local restaurants.
Saturday’s highlight is an Environmental Expo in Bingham Park, Hawley, PA. The #WildHawley Parade will provide you an opportunity to show your wild side! Come dressed in costume and visit the numerous exhibitors that will be on hand at the Environmental Expo.

Throughout the weekend there will be opportunities to learn more about our natural surroundings as well as ways you can give back to Mother Earth. There will be a volunteer cleanup on Friday and activities planned at the Hawley Library for folks of all ages throughout the weekend.

Saturday evening entertainment includes Libations and Creations. Sip on wine and paint with an Earth Day themed canvas. Follow Harmony Presents for ticket orders (space is limited). There will also be a bluegrass concert Saturday night in the Boiler Room at the Hawley Silk Mill at 8 p.m. featuring Grand Ole’ Ditch.

On Sunday finish off the weekend by exploring the number of scenic trails that surround our area, enjoying what the natural world around has to offer. We will continue to add activities, events, happenings and special offers between now and April 22nd.

“The Hawley Earth Fest celebration is a fine complement to our Winterfest held in December and Wally Lake Fest which is held the last week in August. This is a great way to celebrate the charm and natural beauty of Hawley,” says Simon Knox on behalf of the Downtown Hawley Partnership.
