HOLIDAY OPERETTA

Operetta Holiday Concert, Dec. 16
Children Under 15 Admitted Free

Soprano Jessica Fishenfeld and tenor Scott Joiner, accompanied by pianist Eric Sedgwick, will perform music from light operas and musicals as well as traditional holidays songs at the Milford Theatre, 5:30 p.m., December 16.

Composers whose songs they'll sing include Rogers and Hammerstein, Franz Lehar, Johann Strauss, Leonard Bernstein, and Giacomo Puccini. Tickets for adults cost $20 or $15 when purchased in advance (see Ticket Information, below), and children under 15 will be admitted free.

Rising Star
Young sensation Jessica Fishenfeld, an award-winning graduate of NYU Steinhardt, has impressed audiences with her principle roles in traditional operas -- the long list includes La Traviata, Carmen, Don Pasquale, and La Boheme -- and contemporary works. Fishenfeld has also sung in concert performances and performed in light operas such as The Pirates of Penzance.

The San Francisco Examiner recently raved about Scott Joiner's "bright, arching tenor," and the young singer has already sung key roles with the San Francisco Opera, the St. Petersburg Opera, Asheville Lyric Opera, the American Symphony Orchestra, and other top opera companies and orchestras. Like Fishenfeld, Joiner has performed concert recitals as well as traditional and contemporary operas.

Ticket Information
This performance will take place at the Milford Theatre (114 E. Catharine St.; Milford, PA) Saturday, Dec. 16th, at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 at the door, $15 when bought in advance at www.kindredspiritsarts.org or in person at Holy Crepes, 224 Broad Street in Milford, PA. Children under 15 will be admitted free.

This holiday concert is a production of Kindred Spirits Arts Programs, a nonprofit organization of volunteers that has been bringing quality entertainment to area audiences and programs to school students since 2002.
