Do You Hear What I Hear?

The Delaware Valley Choral Society will be performing a Christmas Cantata titled “Do You Hear What I Hear?” containing new and familiar carols. This cantata tells the Christmas story with dramatic narration and music scored for adult and children’s choirs. The Dingman Delaware Children’s Choir directed by Brian Krauss will be joining the Delaware Valley Choral Society directed by Jeffrey Fornoff for the cantata, making this concert a true family event. Also included in the program will be music that spans the era of time from the baroque to contemporary, from Buxtehude to Whitacre and Jenkins.

Concert dates are Friday, December 1st at 7:30PM at St. Thomas The Apostle Church located at 210 Route 206 North, Sandsyton, NJ; Saturday, December 2nd at 2:00PM at Drew United Methodist Church located at 49-51 Sussex Street, Port Jervis, NY; and Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00PM at Milford United Methodist Church located at 206 East Ann Street, Milford, PA. Tickets for “Do You Hear What I Hear?” are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets may be purchased in advance by contacting Helen Monisera at (845) 856-5696, Diane Fornoff at (570) 296-5333, or Jeffrey Fornoff at (570) 267-8773. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The Delaware Valley Choral Society is a non-profit group dedicated to performing major choral works in their original form. The Society incorporates aspiring musicians from the area as well as professional musicians to bring major works of music to our community. New singers are always welcome to join the Choral Society at the beginning of each rehearsal season. Please contact Jeffrey Fornoff at Jeffrey.marc.fornoff@gmail.com for more information.
