Consultant Manager

With more than 30 years of experience, The University of Scranton SBDC’s Consultant Manager Donna Simpson has worked with every kind of small business imaginable. Her vast and varied experience is of great benefit to her current clients.

Donna’s areas of expertise include accounting and bookkeeping, business planning and financial analysis, continuity planning and exporting (CGBP). In addition, her lifelong commitment to women’s issues makes her the Center’s women entrepreneurship expert. She works on StartUP, a 6-week program for women planning to open their own businesses. Donna also guides student intern/authors with a feature article in the Northeast PA Business Journal spotlighting a women entrepreneur each month.

Over her lengthy career Donna has been recognized numerous times including being the recipient of the SBA’s Women in Business Champion of the year, PA SBDC State Star, and SAGE Award Woman of Excellence.

Donna is an active community volunteer currently serving on the board of directors of Leadership Lackawanna. She also serves on several economic development loan review committees, University of Scranton committees. She continues to serve as a chaperone for University of Scranton student service trips around the country.
