Delaware Highlands Conservancy Announces Free Community Picnic

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy is pleased to announce a free community event, Saturday August 27, 2015 from 12pm-4pm in Sullivan County. The Conservancy’s annual picnic celebrates our local community of supporters and friends and provides an opportunity for the public to enjoy the beautiful rolling hills, meadows, gardens, and woods of our Bethel, NY office.

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy free ice cream from the Dairy’O ice cream truck; a live birds of prey presentation from the Delaware Valley Raptor Center; a monarch butterfly program; a guided walk on the Conservancy’s woodland trail; a kayak raffle drawing, and outdoor games and fun for all ages.

This event is free for our members and volunteers, but prior registration is requested. If you are not a member, you have the option to join anytime on our website—or if you would like to learn more about us, we would love to meet you on August 27th.

Please call the Delaware Highlands Conservancy at 570-226-3164 or 845-583-1010, or email info@delawarehighlands.org to register and receive directions.

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy works with landowners and communities to protect the lands and waters, eagles and other wildlife, and sustainable local economies of the Upper Delaware River region. For more information on how we connect people to the lands where they live, work, and play, visit www.DelawareHighlands.org.
