Upper Delaware GLBT Center (UDGLBT) announces its third annual GLBTQ and Ally* Prom to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 7PM. This dinner/dance will be held at the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing, located at 120 Route 6 and 209, Matamoras, PA, 18336. This year’s theme is Carnival. Dress to express and please yourself.**

Patty Tomaszewski, Executive Director/UDGLBT said: “The UDGLBT community prom is a place where everyone can feel safe, welcome and accepted. This is a chance for us to meet new friends, build a sense of community with the teens in our area and come together to celebrate our diversity with plenty of food, dancing and entertainment! If your idea of prom is an awesome party atmosphere without feeling judged or bullied, this is the party for you!"

The theme, chosen by the youth of our community, is Carnival - Under the Big Top. This dinner/dance will be held in the Ballroom and will feature that audacious local celebrity “Sugar” with music provided by DJ Flow and Hot –Traxx Entertainment. Formal pictures will be taken and there will also be a photo booth, provided by Flash Shack, for our guests’ enjoyment. All are welcome to attend this exciting community event!

*Ally - is a straight person who supports equal civil rights, gender equality, LGBT social movements, and challenges homophobia and transphobia.
