Do You Love to Play Softball or Baseball??

The Wayne Pike Adult Literacy Program is planning the 2nd Annual Adventures in the Park - A Family Day for Literacy to be held on Saturday July 27, 2013 in Bingham Park Hawley PA. The WPALP volunteers will have food and drinks (water and Lemonade) for sale. There will also be games for young children, some of the games are free and some will cost $1.00 per game.

They thought having a children’s ball game and an adult baseball or softball game played simultaneously would be a way to get the public interested in attending a family event. Admission is free. The idea is to promote literacy and raise funds for the WPALP.

The Wayne Pike Adult Literacy Program is currently trying to solicit team interest through the local businesses. We are not aware of any specific ball teams but have been told that some do exist. Anyone interested, might also like to help with the forming of teams just for the day. We think it will be a fun day for all involved.

For more information or questions, please call Executive Director of the WPALP Jacci West at 570-253-3221.
