A new series of Young Artists Workshops will be starting in April at the Artisan Exchange
In Milford with painter Marie Liu and potter Dan Drake. The workshops will explore many different mediums and techniques of the arts, from handbuilding pots with clay, mask making, drawing and painting. Young artist from ages 6 - 12 will be free to explore and create while learning about the arts, its history and cultural importance.
Marie, who is a professional artist with work shown locally at the ARTery Gallery and Artisan Exchange, coordinates the annual exhibit of the Pike County Arts and Crafts and teaches painting at the Milford Borough hall weekly.
Dana has been wheel throwing pottery for many years, her works are also shown at the Artisan Exchange and other local venues and has taught hundreds of kids to throw pottery over the years.
The series of 4 workshops in their second floor classroom studio are held on
Saturdays 12 - 2 pm will go from April 20 to May 11.
