State and County Parks  
     
  Childs Park Open all year.  Located on Silver Lake Road.  Scenic 1.8 mile loop trail encircling the magnificent waterfalls, old mill site.  Picnic tables, fireplaces and pit toilets.  No camping or swimming.
     
  High Point State Park

Open all year. Rt. 23 New Jersey. 14,056 acre park containing Point Monument, the highest point in New Jersey. Hiking on the Appalachian Trail, fishing, tent camping April through October. Picnic tables, fireplaces, flush toilets.
     
  Minisink Battle Ground Near Rt. 97 at Minisink Ford. 57 acre county park at the site of a Revolutionary War battle. Historical and natural interpretation, walking trails and picnicking.
     
  Promised Land State Park Parts open all year. Just off Rt. 84 near Greentown PA. 2,971 acres surrounded by 8,039 acres of State Forest. Promised Land Lake is 422 acres and Lower Lake is 173 acres.   Stokes State Forest Open all year. Rt. 206, New Jersey, 10 miles south of Milford PA. Hiking on the Appalachian Trail, fishing, swimming, picnic tables, camping and cabins. Children's playground. 15,482 acres accented by the tranquil Tillman's Ravine.
     
  Upper Delaware Scenic Recreational River

Designated 10,1978 as part of the National Wild and Scenic River system, the river corridor runs 73 miles from Hancock, NY to Sparrowbush, NY. Canoeing, fishing and sightseeing. The river is managed by the National Park Service.
     
  Deleware Water Gap National Recreation Area Open all year. Located along Interstate 80 New Jersey, and Rt. 209 Pennsylvania. 200 miles through scenic valleys, some areas available for biking. 25 miles of Appalachian Trail. Hiking, biking, boating, swimming and birdwatching. Areas for hunting.
